Are you being your best self?

If you had to let go of everything that is holding you back, what would your life be like?

Maybe you have been working at the same company for so many years now that loyalty towards that institution outweighs anything else that you might want.

Or maybe you have been thinking that somehow magically the next performance management cycle will dispel your fears and push you ahead.

You will have a better designation, more authority, and even more influence, it is all in reach - just with the next cycle.

Or maybe you want to be there for others. You want to create for others what you didn’t have for yourself; and just maybe, life is getting in the way and there never is enough time.

Perhaps you don’t know where you fit in with the scheme of things - at work and may be at home.

Maybe it’s not about the money or power or influence or network for you - maybe it’s about moving away and on from those. But peer pressure is weighing you down. Maybe you want to slog for the good stuff. And it’s time you figure out what that is.

What is your Leadership Brand®?

Leadership Branding® is about who you are now and how you want to be seen today and in the future.

Who is this for?

  • You know your work, you do it well, but people don't know who you are. You are not recognized commensurate to your contribution to the organization. You fear you are easily replaceable in the organization.

  • You know you are the best at your job, but you don't know how to launch yourself forward. In spite of role power and influence, you are seen as the no 2. It’s time to make yourself more central to the organization.

  • You set clear expectations, communicate efficiently and get the work done - yet your contribution remains less visible. You are not seen as the top choice for strategic projects. What is your blind spot?

  • You don't know what you do best. You are trying out quite a few things. Maybe it’s time to figure out what really rocks your boat and how you can reach ashore. Faster.

  • You are acutely aware of your derailers and are afraid that so is everybody else, and they may just call you out on them.

What’s the hurry?

I have learned it the hard way: The only way forward is through it...

Almost a decade back I came back from my maternity leave to be told that my role was redundant. As a high potential and top performer up to this point in my career, I was shocked - my identity was hammered. It was easy to play the victim, to blame the system, to cry foul, and to spend precious hours ruminating over what could have been done - how I should have covered my bases, been more politically savvy, and so on.

Another 5 years and yet again I found myself in a quandary. I was starting my own business venture - putting my best foot forward, doing the right things at the right time, networking, emailing- the whole drill. And yet the traction was limited. Once again, it was easy to pass the buck and worry about “supposed” lost time.

Both times, and many more my coach stood up for me and with me. She kept asking me - what makes you different, what makes you you, what makes you what nobody else is?

It has taken me years to get those answers for myself. And each time I uncover a new aspect of it, I find new ways of adding more value to my life and to that of my teams and stakeholders across 3 different ventures I currently orchestrate.

Fast forward to today - I have a thriving business and a non-profit, I am well connected in the industry, my initiatives have a global footprint and most importantly I think that what I do creates a lot of impacts which gives me a sense of purpose and meaning. Undoubtedly this kind of accelerated self-realization comes only when you are true to yourself, what truly gives you energy, and have somebody firmly in your corner.

And that’s why the hurry. The rush.

Every day that you lose trying to figure out what you missed in the past, takes away one more day to work towards your future.

How much rumination, procrastination, hesitation qualifies as enough?

How much time needs to ideally have passed before you start justifying self-development, self-investment?

Isn’t it already too late for you to be the most impactful version of yourself?

Or maybe you are right on time.

And this is the time.
